My So-Called Disability Turned out to be My Greatest ASset

“Danny has a problem paying attention and following instructions,” read the damning note scrawled across my report card. My parents lectured me, but…I wasn’t paying attention.

Being different has always been stigmatized. Most of us outside the norm strive to “fit in.” But should we?

The question of whether the puppet at right is yearning for freedom from an unseen overlord or intending to end his life suddenly occurred to me as I posted this today and has inspired me to write an essay about that question in The Naked Cartoonist in the very near future. Getting Stoned

Around eight or ten years ago, King Features asked me to move my blog to their Comics Kingdom website. I like KF, they’ve done right by me, but I decided against it for several reasons, chief among them was that you’d have to have a subscription to that site to read my posts. They’ve recently redesigned the whole site and it’s much better, but I’m still staying here.
